A Few Minutes to Spare

Before everyone wakes up from naps (Caroline has been sleeping for 3 hours and Sam is down for his third nap of the day - something fishy is going on here) I thought I would post these.

Jim got this one the other night when Caroline was going to bed. She has to be a fashionista even when sleeping. All of the sudden, my baby boy is looking like a little boy. Sigh.

And Rest

It's Sunday night.
I'm downloading my Palm for work, will fold some clothes and then go to bed. Lunches are made and we're not quite as ready for the upcoming week as we could be - but that's okay - we'll catch up.
We had a very nice weekend.
Jim didn't have to work, so we got to spend some nice time together as a family and see some old friends.

Caroline enjoyed her time relaxing at the Lake.
We realized that we live with a princess.
The look of utter awe on her face when she saw herself in the mirror was amazing.
She didn't walk at all wearing the dress - she danced.
It was precious.

Princess Caroline even learned how to curtsy today:

But sometimes even princesses get grumpy (especially when they don't nap):

We got out the sprinkler and played. We had perfect weather for it.

To end the day, Caroline and Dada made scones. The best part was that they ended up being really good.

Now Entering the Ring:

Caroline got in a fight with a mosquito.

She lost.

O-R-E-O

Since Caroline enjoyed her first Oreo so much we decided not to wait so long to give Sam his first.
Here are the results:

Recovery

We are recovering from our wonderful weekend trip to The North Country for Baby Rhys' baptism.
We thought we had our acts together and got a baby sitter so we could go to softball tonight without the munchkins. The only hitch was that when we showed up at the field it was swarming with pre-pubescent football players. We couldn't find anyone that looked even remotely familiar.
But I can't say we looked for our team as hard as we could have...we went out for a drink and some really good Armenian food instead.
I missed playing softball, but considering how crazy our lives have been in the past six weeks, it was a welcome change to just sit and do nothing in the company of each other. It was thoroughly enjoyable.

Sunday NIght

I really should be putting away laundry or getting the house ready to face the week ahead, but the Olympics only come around once every four (or two) years...so I'm watching women's gymnastics. That sport is too cool. I think it's the one sport that I'm too tall to do - that's probably why I like it too much.

We had a great weekend. We went to a lovely wedding - it was our first time that we left the kids to do something fun...thanks for watching them, Aunt Sue!
We got to spend some time at the Lake. Besides Caroline having a meltdown on the way home ("I want to stay with Grampy and Grampa. I do NOT want to go home.") we had a wonderful day.

Today we ended our day with a trip to Coldstone Creamery. I could feel my arteries clog with every bite. Yum.
