Hanging On
April is almost over.
I'm already tired from May and it hasn't even started yet.
But we're hanging on.
Tonight is a quiet night - only three dance classes and a group meeting to get people to and from. Crazy nights include two baseball games, a group meeting and three dance classes. I'll take the quiet.
I do find myself occasionally pining for the days of quarantine...but I know the activity is good for the kids - especially because they don't get the benefit of hanging around a lot of other kids kids that aren't related to them at school. They love, love, love dance and baseball. I'm so grateful for that.
As frustrating as it can be to have children with games at the same time on opposite ends of the county, it has been nice to see friendships develop, to get to know more folks in the area, to see their baseball skills improve and to just witness kids having fun. I'm hopeful that the temperatures will now stay solidly above the mid thirties so Jim and I can have more fun than we had at this game here...
It has been nice to drive around Frederick and Carroll Counties, too. We really live in an idyllic place. How can I be grumpy when I get this view while watching my kids play baseball?Ben even got the Game Ball for defense the other day. Caroline photo bombed the picture so the recognition wouldn't go to his head.
